Update: McDonald plans to retire amid concussion concerns, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Recommendation: McDonald, who played six seasons with the Blues, has had five documented concussions during his 12-year NHL career. This season, McDonald played 37 regular season games, contributing seven goals and 21 points. With his St. Louis contract expiring and the team not expected to re-sign him, McDonald now enters retirement with 182 goals and 489 points to his name in 685 games played.
