Andrew Bynum: Officially Agrees with Cavs

Update: Bynum (knee) officially signed the two-year, $24.5 million contract offer from the Cavaliers, ESPN's Chris Broussard reports.

Recommendation: The injury-prone big man was handed just $6 million in guaranteed money for the life of the contract, with $6 million left unguaranteed in Year 1 and a team option available on the $12.5 million due in Year 2. Bynum has resumed working out after missing all of last season with knee injuries, but if he can maintain some semblance of health and re-emerge as a dominant double-double threat, he could give the Cavaliers quite a formidable frontcourt alongside Anderson Varejao and a trio of promising youngsters in Tyler Zeller, Tristan Thompson and No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett.
