Johnson's teammate, tight end Owen Daniels, was not happy with Pollard on the hit, and after the game, called the hit to the receiver's head "blatant." Pollard was not flagged on the play, but still could be fined by the league office. He led with his shoulder, but hit Johnson up high
“I’ve never seen a more blatant blow to the head. A big miss by the officials, especially for a guy like Andre. I know you have to protect every player, especially someone like him,' Daniels said via 610 AM in Houston.
Pollard said after the game that it is tough for defensive players to find an area to target.
“It’s hard for us as defensive players to pick our target, you know, so going high or going low, we ain’t right.” Pollard said after the game. “It was a no call but we will see what the front office has to say.”
