AMSTERDAM – Michael Bradley was a shade off in midfield for AS Roma on Friday, but it was nothing compared to the home side's struggles at the back in a 4-2 defeat against Cagliari.

The US international, who neglected to cover Radja Nainggolan for the visitors' early opener, largely performed adequately over the 90 minutes. The same could not be said of the defense or netminder Mauro Goigoechea, whose Keystone Kops gaffe on a simple cross catch put Cagliari ahead to stay just after intermission.

In the end, eighth-place Roma saw their win drought in Serie A play reach five games.

Over in Germany's second flight, Andrew Wooten went close to scoring near halftime of a full shift in Sandhausen's 3-1 loss at Union Berlin. The result kept the visitors winless in four and in the table's bottom two.

Next door in the Dutch second division, Charles Kazlauskas worked the first half at right back, leaving before second-place Helmond Sport's late collapse in a 1-1 draw with visiting Fortuna Sittard.
