Amar'e Stoudemire: (Knee) Now Out 6-8 Weeks

Rotowire.com
Update: Stoudemire requires a "left knee debridement" and will be sidelined about six-to-eight weeks, the New York Times reports.

Recommendation: In essence, Stoudemire will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his ailing left knee. At this point in his career, the news comes across as if from a broken record, and his potential injury concerns are dropping him on most draft boards. Since he is unlikely to see the court during the first two months of the season, expect Carmelo Anthony -- much to his chagrin -- to man the four, as a combination of Ronnie Brewer and Steve Novak take on small forward.
