Update: The Yankees confirmed that Rodriguez (hip) will undergo surgery on his left hip to repair a torn labrum, ESPN's Buster Olney reports.
Recommendation: As noted earlier, the recovery from the surgery is expected to keep him on the shelf for four-to-six months, making for a likely return in late June. With Rodriguez missing such a huge portion of the season, expect the Yankees to move quickly to make some sort of acquisition to fill the void at third base.
