Update: Rodriguez (hand) will DH for High-A Tampa on Friday and could rejoin the Yankees early next week against Tampa, the New York Post reports.
Recommendation: "We always knew he was going to come back. This is just the next step in the process. When he does come back, we want him to be ready, so we're not going to rush him," said GM Brian Cashman. It's unclear how much Rodriguez will play at third base as opposed to DH, but the Yankees will welcome his bat back into the lineup.
