Other top contributors for Utah included Derrick Favors with 19 points and 15 rebounds, and Trey Burke with 18 points and 8 assists. Despite the loss, Ty Lawson scored 23 points for Denver on 6-18 shooting. He also recorded 11 assists. J.J. Hickson chipped in 21 points and 10 rebounds and Kenneth Faried finished with 11 points and 7 rebounds.
Along with their eFG% of 60.8%, the Jazz connected at a rate of 44.4% from 3-point range. On the season, they are undefeated (6-0) when they record marks above 55% and 40% in those respective categories. Conversely, the Nuggets are winless (0-4) when allowing their opponents to reach those percentages.
This defeat means an end to a five-game winning streak for Denver, pushing their record to 19-18 for the year.
