Al Jefferson finished with 30 points and notched 13 rebounds to lead the Charlotte Bobcats to a victory over the Golden State Warriors, 91-75. Charlotte (22-28) picked up the win after falling to the Phoenix Suns on Saturday.
Jefferson shot 12-22 and converted 6-10 from the free throw line. Gerald Henderson also chipped in for Charlotte, finishing with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Despite the loss, Stephen Curry put up 17 points for Golden State on 8-18 shooting, including 1-7 from behind the arc. He also tallied 11 assists.
In addition to 20.0% from 3-point range, the Warriors tallied an eFG% of just 33.3%. They are winless (0-2) on the season when registering marks below 30% and 45%, respectively, in those statistics. The Bobcats, conversely, are undefeated (8-0) when holding the opposition to such dismal shooting numbers.
This drops Golden State (29-20) to 0-2 versus Charlotte on the season.
Coming up, the Bobcats play the San Antonio Spurs, who are 35-13 on the season. The Warriors match up against the Chicago Bulls, currently sitting at 24-24 this year.
