Al Jefferson recorded his 28th double-double this season, scoring 26 points and registering 10 rebounds, to help the Charlotte Bobcats beat the Washington Wizards, 98-85. This is the second win in as many games for Charlotte (31-34) after beating Denver on Monday.
Jefferson finished 13-20, in a strong performance. Other key players for Charlotte included Kemba Walker with 16 points and 5 assists, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Despite the loss, John Wall scored 23 points for Washington on 10-19 shooting, including 3-5 from behind the arc.
This drops Washington (33-31) to 1-1 against Charlotte on the year.
Coming up, the Bobcats take on the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are 32-31 on the season. The Wizards match up with the Orlando Magic, currently sitting at 19-47 this year. The Bobcats are 0-1 versus Minnesota this season. The Wizards have been victorious in their last two games against Orlando.
