Ailing 92 year-old WWE superfan gets surprise from her favorite wrestlers

You sure don't meet people like Ohio's Alice Boraby every day. She's a 92 year-old superfan of the WWE.

That's right. Unlike most of her contemporaries whose interests probably skew more toward the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) Alice is obsessed with wrestling. She's such a fan of the sport that she even had tickets to the WWE Smackdown event in Toledo on Tuesday.

Sadly, as WTVG in Toldeo discovered, health problems prevented her from leaving hospice care to attend the highly anticipated event at the Huntington Center.

Fortunately, a few of her favorite WWE wrestlers, Tag Team Champions The New Day, got word of her dilemma and did something about it. While visiting ABC13 in Toledo to promote Smackdown, they taped a very special message for Alice. Watching the video from her hospice bed, Alice was clearly floored.

It's always great to see athletes reaching out to fans who are stuck in hospital beds, but particularly cool to meet a superfan of Alice's nature at the ripe young age of 92.
