Adorable Winnipeg Jets holiday cards raising funds for autism

This holiday season, why not give the gift that keep on giving: Drew Stafford in a terrible wig and garish glasses, dreaming of a dog with antlers on its head.

Many NHL teams offer up charity fundraising efforts around this time of year, but few are as inventive as the Winnipeg Jets. The Jets wives and girlfriends have helped create four packs of seven holiday cards apiece that were designed by Winnipeg Jets players and their families.

Like this one, featuring four-year-old Blake Wheeler:

And this one, featuring Josh Morrissey playing pond hockey:

And this one, featuring Mark Scheifele as a young lad, no doubt battling to see you gets to play that EA Sports hockey game first on PlayStation:

(Alas, no apparently there’s Patrik Laine card depicting him hugging a reindeer somewhere in Tampere, Finland. Because you know that photo exists.)

The cards, which go for $14.99 per set, will help raise funds in support of Can Do People, which provides “a safe, rich environment conducive to the best practices for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, other intellectual disabilities or exceptional behaviors.”

The packs are on sale at all Jets Gear locations and are expected to raise at least $15,000. Great stuff.

Now, how do we get a Drew Stafford calendar that’s just life in the 1970s…
