Berlusconi dismisses AC Milan sale rumors

AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi believes it imperative that Clarence Seedorf's reign as coach kicks off in style against Verona on Sunday night.

The San Siro faithful are bitterly disillusioned with their club at the moment, with an ongoing dispute about banners for the Derby della Madonnina just before Christmas having only worsened the negative atmosphere created by the Rossoneri's dismal Serie A form.

Consequently, Berlusconi is desperately hoping the return of former midfield ace Seedorf will life everyone's spirits at the Giuseppe Meazza.

“It is important that this new Milan starts well,” the former Italy Prime Minister told reporters. “It is important because there are so many disappointed fans all over Italy.”

Milan goes into Sunday night's game against Verona languishing in 11th place in Serie A, 10 points behind its opponents.
