With the 9th pick in the draft, the Panthers select

Luke Kuechly, inside linebacker, Carolina Panthers (6-3, 237)

I understand that Kuechly is one of the safest prospects in this year’s draft, but I have a hard time believing that a linebacker who doesn’t rush the passer is worthy of a top-ten pick. The Panthers have a lot of needs inside at defensive tackle and despite the production Kuechly will likely give them from day one, I think Carolina could have received the same type of production in round two at MLB.
