9 Important Facts About the Third Hemsworth

From Cosmopolitan

As a discerning reader of Cosmopolitan.com, you are likely familiar with Chris Hemsworth and Liam Hemsworth, two of Australia’s finest exports. Perhaps you’ve heard rumors that there’s a third Hemsworth brother, but you haven’t really seen him in anything because he’s never landed a role quite as huge as Thor or Gale (even though he’s been acting since the early 2000s). Maybe you even know that his name is Luke, or that he was on the famous Australian soap opera Neighbours, but admit that your awareness stops short of knowing whether or not he’s older or younger than Chris and Liam (older). Thanks to the good people at HBO, your life is about to have a lot more Luke in it - he’s playing Stubbs on Westworld - so now is as good a time as any to find out what makes Luke so special. He might even become your favorite Hemsworth! (Just kidding: Your favorite Hemsworth will always be Liam’s dog Dora.)

1. He’s charming and adorably self-deprecating. “I’m the short, dumb brother,” he told the New York Post last year, acknowledging the fact that Chris literally plays a Norse god. “I take their advice, but as their older brother a part of me also says, ‘Oh, shut up.’”

2. He finds humor in the little things. Like two beetles having sex on the sidewalk:

Or kangaroo scrotum bottle openers:

Or holding up placards bearing his own name:

3. He’s willing to go to parties dressed like this. The theme was gold, and as you can see, Luke really took it to the next level. His shirt is so shiny he can probably see his own face in it.

4. He likes Star Wars enough to make jokes about lightsabers during a power outage. May the Force be with him.

5. He’s a master of the rugged look. It’s a cornerstone of the Hemsworth appeal.

6. His children are adorable, and he takes lots of adorable photos with them. Fans of Chris and the burrito baby, meet Luke and the “little crazies.” They do everything together, like eating yogurt:

Bird-watching:

And ice-skating:

7. Photos of him with his brothers are always a treat. Do photographers tell them to line up in height order, or does that just happen naturally?

8. He has a deep appreciation for nature, which he documents on social media. Unfortunately, this also means that his Instagram feed contains a fair amount of spider close-ups. Just ignore those and look at stuff like this instead:

9. OK, he’s married, but he and his wife are extremely cute together. You can’t be mad at a couple this beautiful.
