The Philadelphia 76ers added guard Tony Wroten on Thursday, sending a second-round pick to the Memphis Grizzlies for the second-year man. As a rookie first-round pick out of the University of Washington, Wroten played in just 35 games for Memphis last season, averaging 2.6 points and 1.2 assists. He shot 38.4 percent from the floor, 25 percent from 3-point range. Wroten, 20, saw brief action in six of the Grizzlies' 15 postseason games, producing 1.3 points and 0.3 assists per contest. Wroten will make $1.1 million in the upcoming season, and the Grizzlies no longer needed him after recently signing shooting guard Mike Miller. Before entering the draft, Wroten played one season at Washington, averaging 16 points (fifth in the conference), five rebounds and 3.7 assists. He made first-team All-Pac-12 and was honored as the league's Freshman of the Year.
