49ers travel to Arizona rested, prepared

San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh said his team will enter Monday night's game at the Arizona Cardinals very healthy and prepared after having 10 days between games.

The 49ers last played Oct. 18 in a 16-9 victory on Thursday Night Football over the division-rival Seattle Seahawks.

San Francisco has also had more time to prepare, and was scheduled to leave for Arizona after a Sunday workout.

"We believe we've gotten a lot out of it," Harbaugh said Saturday of the time between games. "It's been a real productive week.

Among those who have had a chance to get healthier is running back Frank Gore, who has been dealing with sore ribs. His workload has decrease a bit with a deep backfield, but Gore still leads the team with 103 carries for 601 yards and a 5.8-yard average per carry with his physical running style.

"Every day my admiration for Frank Gore as a football player, every time you think it's as high as it can be then he finds another wrung on the ladder to go in my esteem," Harbaugh said. "And then even more so as a person. He's just one of the finest guys you ever want to be around. He'd do anything for the team. And is just a football player, in all senses of the word, phrase."

Quarterback Alex Smith also had time for the sore finger on his right throwing hand to heal.

"Yeah, it was a good week throwing the ball, very good this week," Harbaugh said. "I think he feels very good physically. Confident going into the game and ready to roll."
