2014 Playoff Schedule

The SportsXchange

The 2014 NFL playoff picture was completed Sunday night when the Philadelphia Eagles were crowned NFC East champion to earn the No. 3 seed in the conference playoffs.

The Seattle Seahawks (13-3) and Carolina Panthers (12-4) earned the top two spots in the NFC. Seattle bowled over the St. Louis Rams 27-9 and will have home-field advantage for two potential playoff games preceding Super Bowl XLVIII on Feb. 2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

New Orleans, the No. 6 seed in the NFC, can earn a rematch of a 34-7 loss at Seattle on Dec. 2 with a win over the Eagles or Cowboys next Sunday.

In the AFC, San Diego can get another shot at the Broncos if the Chargers beat the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday. The Chargers' resume includes a 27-20 win at Denver on Dec. 12, the Broncos' lone home loss in the regular season.

Denver set an NFL single-season scoring record, and the Broncos (13-3) clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC. New England (12-4) locked up a fifth consecutive division title last week, and they beat the Buffalo Bills 34-20 in Week 17 to secure a first-round bye and the AFC's second seed.
