2014 Outlook: Steve Blake

The Mike D'antoni point guard-enhancing offense has been well documented, and last season Steve Blake was the lucky beneficiary until he got traded to Golden State to serve a backup role. This season he'll play the same reserve role in Portland. The Trail Blazers got scorched by Tony Parker in the playoffs, so it seems they brought Blake in to hide some of Damian Lillard's defensive deficiencies. Mo Williams flirted with Fantasy relevance in this role last season, but Blake is an entirely different player who lacks the offensive talent needed to make an imprint in Fantasy as a backup point guard. It's safe to ignore him on Draft Day this season.
