2014 Outlook: Shane Larkin

Considering their snail's pace and disappointing record last season, it's safe to say the Knicks could use some fresh legs. Well they went ahead and traded for some of the freshest, quickest legs in NBA when they landed second-year point guard Shane Larkin in a trade with Dallas. He barely played last season for the Mavericks, but establishing a rapport with new coach Derek Fisher at the Las Vegas Summer League could go a long way in securing Larkin steady minutes backing up fellow newcomer Jose Calderon. Because point guard is so deep, it's too risky to draft Larkin in 12-team leagues, but you could certainly take a flier on a worse backup. Draft Larkin in the final round of drafts if at all this season, but keep an eye on his assist and three point numbers if he's out there in free agency.
