2014 Outlook: Pau Gasol

Maximized possessions and a weak roster around him spelled a successful Fantasy season for Pau Gasol, but he also lost 23 games to injury and has since moved on to a more crowded lineup. Starting alongside Joakim Noah in the Bulls frontcourt, Gasol should at the very least be capable of the 14 points and eight rebounds Carlos Boozer put up in that spot. Taj Gibson will continue to demand playing time off the bench, but Gasol should be able to settle in to a statistical middle ground between Boozer's output and his own from last season. Even if he drops off in scoring, rebounding and shot blocking, Gasol could make up for it by getting back over four assists per game on a more complete team. Age, injury risk and a slower, more balanced team make Gasol worth waiting on until the middle rounds of your draft this season.
