Playing with one of the most complete teams of his career in Dallas, Monta Ellis seemed to refine his game last season. He took 119 fewer three pointers than the season prior with Milwaukee. His 45.1 field goal percentage was his most efficient mark since 2011. He was still among the league leaders in turnovers per game, but the Mavericks relied heavily on his ball handling -- especially while Devin Harris sat for most of the season. This year he'll have Chandler Parsons to ease some of the playmaking burden. But that shouldn't affect his assists, which hovered in the five-to-six range per game all year. However, it could help him get back over 20 points per game and allow him to conserve energy to shoot passing lanes more for more steals. Guard is deep, but while many might reach early for trendier guys like Kyle Lowry and Goran Dragic you can fill a more shallow position and grab Ellis a round later. He finished slightly behind them in Fantasy points per game, but he has a more proven track record than either.
