Western Hockey League
Carter Hart led the pack with a 2.29 GAA and .915 save percentage in 30 games with the Everett Silvertips this season. Those numbers are more impressive when you consider that Hart won't even turn 17 until August. At the same time, there certainly were other netminders that were nearly as good statistically while logging far more ice time. Taran Kozun is perhaps the best example of that as he posted a 2.41 GAA and .915 save percentage in 60 contests with the Seattle Thunderbirds. Oliver Bjorkstrand won the scoring race with 63 goals and 118 points in 59 games in 2014-15. He was taken by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. No one came close to him in goals scored either, although Cole Sanford has a terrific season in his own right with 50 goals and 95 points in 72 contests with the Medicine Hat Tigers.
Ontario Hockey League
Dylan Strome won the scoring race with 45 goals and 129 points in 68 games in 2014-15. That's a huge jump up from his rookie campaign when he recorded 39 points in 60 contests. He's eligible to be taken in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and will likely be a top-10 pick. To the surprise of no one though, Strome's Erie Otters teammate, Connor McDavid, is expected to be drafted ahead of him. The projected first overall pick had 44 goals and 120 points despite being limited to 47 contests. New Jersey Devils prospect Joseph Blandisi led the league in goals scored with 52 in 68 contests with the Barrie Colts. The 20-year-old forward also had 60 assists and 126 penalty minutes. Ken Appleby lead all goaltenders with a 2.08 GAA and .924 save percentage in 50 contests with the Oshawa Generals. That gave him a 38-7-0-4 record in 2014-15.
Quebec Major Junior Hockey League
Conor Garland went from averaging about a point-per-game in 2013-14 to leading the league in scoring this season. He had 35 goals, 129 points, and 66 penalty minutes in 67 contests with the Moncton Wildcats. Philippe Desrosiers's 2.50 GAA in 44 contests was the best in the league among qualified goaltenders. Desrosiers, who was taken with the 54th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars, also had a .901 save percentage with the Rimouski Oceanic. Marvin Cupper had the best save percentage at .912 to go along with his 2.80 GAA in 59 games with the Shawinigan Cataractes. Maxime St. Cyr finished atop the league in goals scored with 54 in 68 contests. The 21-year-old forward also had 34 assists with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar.
