After a nice 10-3 finish to last season, the 2012 West Virginia football schedule brings the team a great chance to make some noise in the Big 12 Conference. There are some very winnable non-conference opponents on the schedule, giving the Mountaineers a great shot at returning to another bowl game.
Though the schedule has officially been released by West Virginia, game times and which networks will air those contests have not yet been revealed. The official game times are likely to come out mid-summer, when the Big 12 announces its full schedule for all the conference teams.
The regular season gets started on Saturday, Sept. 1 against Marshall at home. It's also possible that West Virginia will add another opponent to the 2012 schedule before it kicks off.
