2012 Summer Olympics Men’s Boxing Schedule

In the Olympic boxing competition, participants from 10 weight categories will compete ranging from Light Fly Weight (46-49 kg) to Super Heavy Weight (91+ kg).

Bouts will take place over three rounds of three minutes each. Boxers score a point for each successful punch landed to the head or upper body. If a boxer is knocked to the ground and fails to get up within a 10 count from the referee, the bout is over.

The Olympic competition is run in a single elimination format. The winners of the two semifinal matches will compete for the gold medal while the losers will compete for the bronze.
