    2012 Summer Olympics Men’s Basketball Schedule

    A total of 12 teams will compete for Olympic glory with the squads divided up into two groups of six. Each team plays every other in their group.

    The best eight teams (four from each group) will advance to the quarterfinals, which will be conducted in a knockout format. The winners of the quarterfinals will advance to the semifinals. The winners of the semifinals will advance to the gold medal match while the losers will play for the bronze medal.

    Nine teams have already qualified for the tournament while the remaining three will be determined by early July.

    The 12 teams competing in the 2012 Summer Olympic Games are:

    France

    Argentina

    Group B:

    Brazil

    Australia

    Spain

    China

    Great Britain
