In the 2012 National League Championship Series, the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals will play one another to determine who represents the NL in this year's World Series. The NLCS will begin on Sunday, October 14 and could last as long as Monday, October 22.
On Thursday, the Giants advanced to the NLCS with a 6-4 win over the Cincinnati Reds. On Friday, the Cardinals advanced to the NLCS with a 9-7 win over the Washington Nationals. This matchup will feature some great pitching in the rotations and bullpens as well as some big-name hitters like Buster Posey, Pablo Sandoval, Carlos Beltran, and David Freese.
