The 2012 LPGA KEB-HanaBank Championship will be played on the Ocean Course at Sky 72 Golf Club in Incheon, Korea from Thursday, October 11 to Sunday, October 14. Television coverage of the event can be found on Golf channel and there will at least six hours of TV coverage over the three-day span.
Established in 2002, this event is part of the LPGA Tour's series of tournaments held in Asia. With a limited field of just 69 players, this 54-hole event does not feature a cut. Following this event, the LPGA Tour will head to South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. The tournament has been previously held at Nine Bridges Golf Club and Mauna Ocean Golf & Resort.
The defending champion of the event is Yani Tseng, who won the event with an overall score of -14, which is also the tournament record. Day 1 will start with Julieta Granada, Danielle Kang, Cindy LaCrosse, Ilhee Lee, Hyun Hee Moon and Je-Yoon Yang teeing off at 7:39 p.m. ET and end with Na Yeon Choi, Yani Tseng and Michelle Wie at 9:40 p.m. ET. The purse for the event is $1.8 million with the winner earning $270,000.
