2012 Honda Classic Schedule

The 2012 Honda Classic will be competed at the PGA National Resort on the Champion Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods and defending champ Rory Sabatini will all compete on one of the toughest courses in the United States.

Here's a look at the schedule of events throughout the week for the Honda Classic. All times listed are Eastern.

Monday, Feb. 27, 7 a.m.

Gates open for spectators for the week starting at 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. for seven full days on the actual course. With many of the world's top golfer's in attendance and warm weather expected, the entire week should be great for golf fans to go out and bask in the glow of their favorite sport.

Monday, Feb. 27, 12:30 p.m.

The Fins Cup Pro-Am gets the festivities started when current and former players of the NFL's Miami Dolphins will play alongside PGA pros in foursomes. Ordinary amateur players can pay over $3,000 to play with a member of the Dolphins' organization.

Tuesday, Feb. 28, 4 p.m.

A junior golf clinic will be held the afternoon of Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. for kids with PGA Tour professionals. Once gates open at 7 a.m., fans can catch glimpses of their favorite professionals practicing all day.

Wednesday, Feb. 29, 6:40 a.m.

The Kenny G Gold Pro-Am lasts all day Feb. 29, with the first tee times at 6:40 a.m. Amateurs can once again pay money, this time $7,000, to play in a foursome including golf professionals. This is one of the premier tournaments that anyone can enter just for a fun round of golf at one of the best events on tour.

Wednesday, Feb. 29, 7:30 a.m.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will host a classic breakfast at the course's club house for $15 per ticket. You can sponsor a full table and get some signage for your organization at the event.

Thursday, March 1, 7 a.m.

The first round tees off early at 7 a.m.

Thursday, March 1, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Play Golf America Expo will serves as the fan zone for the event. Anyone with a ticket can get into the place free of charge on the grounds of the course. Fans can get real-world golf instruction from license golf pros while taking in some of the best golf competition in the world. The Play Golf America Expo lasts four days.

Friday, March 2, 7 a.m.

The second round begins in earnest on the second day.

Friday, March 2, 6 p.m.

After the second round is over, the outdoor Michelob Ultra Terrace hosts the After Play Concert Series featuring some of south Florida's best local bands. The String Theory Band is scheduled to play Friday night. The talent for Saturday night has yet to be determined.

Saturday, March 3, 9 a.m.

The third round starts at 9 a.m. March 3 to accommodate fewer golfers. Today is listed a Yokohama Family Day from the moment you get in the gates.

Saturday, March 3, 2 p.m.

From 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, the MetLife Kids Club sponsors interactive games, contests and prizes for kids three and older.

Sunday, March 4, 9 a.m.

The final round gets under way at 9 a.m. March 3. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m. to award the trophy for the best player at the Honda Classic.
