The 2012 Web.com Tour Championship will be played at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas from Thursday, October 25 to Sunday, October 28. Television coverage of the event can be found on Golf Channel and there will at least eight hours of TV coverage over the four-day span.
Established in 1993, this event is the final event of the Web.com Tour season. Featuring the top 60 players on the tour's money list, this tournament gives a PGA Tour card to the top 25 finishers. With so much on the line at this event, golfers put their best efforts forward in order to potentially earn their TOUR card for next season. In 2009, Matt Every set a tournament record with an overall score of -21.
The defending champion of the event is Ken Duke, who won the event with an overall score of -10. Day 1 will start with Woody Allen, Ben Martin and Jim Renner teeing off at 9:13 a.m. ET and is currently scheduled to end with Luke Guthrie, Russell Henley and Casey Wittenberg at 12:45 p.m. ET. The purse for the event is $1 million with the winner earning $180,000.
