On the Hoof: Not an imposing running back physically by any means, Gore is a slight in stature with thin legs and a skinny torso. He is tall enough and will add some weight in college but will never be a big back.
Needs improvement: The biggest knock on Gore is his size. Can his frame handle a college workload? Can he be an every-down back? He is definitely a back you put in space rather than let him work between the tackles or in short-yardage situations.
Most impressive: Gore has very good speed and is great in space. The perimeter run game is where he can do a lot of damage. Out of the backfield, Gore is also extremely natural catching the ball and comfortable in passing situations. Though he is small, Gore has great balance, allowing him to fight through initial contact.
Conclusion: Definitely a situational back at this point, Gore has a chance to be a very effective third-down back and the possibility to develop into an every-down back with the proper physical maturity.
