Mississippi State Looks to set a Record Crowd Sunday Against Tennessee

The Bulldogs will be playing for the SEC Title on Sunday Against Tennessee. Whether it is a shared title, or if it is outright will be determined when MSU plays Kentucky Thursday Night in Lexington. I’ll be the first to tell you that the only loss I expected South Carolina to have following their MSU win was against UConn. I really didn’t think another SEC team was capable of doing it. But this year has proven that the SEC has lived up to it’s name as one of the toughest conferences in the country for women’s hoops. To be quite honest SC could still lose another game. I do not like their chances in College Station Thursday night against Texas A&M. And they play Kentucky in Columbia on Sunday.

Maryland women’s basketball moves up to No. 7 in selection committee rankings

Maryland women’s basketball moved up two spots to No. 7 in the selection committee’s most recent rankings, which were revealed during halftime of the Terps’ game at Ohio State. Maryland was able to move up by going 3-0 in the past two weeks and having some of the teams above them falter. Florida State was fifth in the previous rankings, but has also dropped two games since then, losing to No. 8 Texas and Virginia. All four Pac-12 teams in the committee’s previous rankings all lost a game in the past two weeks, and every one of them except Oregon State lost to a team in the committee’s top 16. The only team to leap-frog the Terps was Texas, who jumped from No. 11 to No.6 after wins over No. 2
