      <description>Geno Auriemma signed a deal that will keep the Hall of Fame coach on Connecticut's sideline through 2013. University officials said Wednesday that the five-year, $8 million contract extension begins July 1 and includes a base salary of $300,000 the first year. That amount will increase by $25,000 annually throughout the contract.</description>
