Quarterback G.J. Kinne, who was fourth on the depth chart at Texas, transferred to Tulsa on Wednesday. After winning 10 games, the C-USA West and the GMAC Bowl last season, Tulsa is starting over in two key areas.
First, the Golden Hurricane must find a replacement for record-setting quarterback Paul Smith, the 2007 C-USA Offensive Player of the Year. Senior David Johnson entered the spring as the starter after being Smith's backup the past two seasons, but redshirt freshman Clark Harrell and JUCO transfer Jacob Bower kept the competition close throughout the season.
