      <description>North Dakota used the familiar combination of quarterback Danny Freund and receiver Brady Trenbeath to open a 21-point lead, then held off St. Cloud State 31-17 in non-conference college football on Saturday. Freund hit Trenbeath for a 30-yard touchdown to give the Sioux a 17-3 halftime lead, then heaved a 63-yarder to the fellow senior on the first play of the fourth quarter for a 31-10 advantage.</description>
