    Mens Soccer Places 16 on PL Honor Roll

    Feb. 22, 2017 CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Lafayette men’s soccer team placed 16 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for 2016, the conference office announced on Wednesday afternoon. Freshman Dylan Royalty led the way for the team, registering a perfect 4.00 grade-point average in his first semester as a collegiate student-athlete. Fellow rookies Colin Morrissey and Matt Rytel also excelled in the classroom, recording 3.90 and 3.93 GPA’s, respectively. To be eligible for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have a 3.20 or higher grade-point average during the academic semester which coincides with his/her sport.     Klinewski Bounces Back in Loss at Bucknell

    Feb. 22, 2017 LEWISBURG, Pa. – Junior Matt Klinewski of the Lafayette men’s basketball team put together a solid bounce-back performance on Wednesday evening in Lewisburg, Pa., scoring a game-high 20 points in a 94-64 loss at Bucknell. The junior hit on 8-of-16 from the field and went 4-of-6 from the foul line to go along with his five rebounds and an assist. It was a solid effort for the Leopards’ leading scorer after registering just two points in the loss to Lehigh on Sunday. Freshman Lukas Jarrett and junior Eric Stafford also had standout games for the Maroon and White as the other two double-figure scorers.
