With 15 starters returning from a nine-win team, Clemson didn't face a lot of critical issues in spring practice.

Quarterback? Cullen Harper is coming off a junior season that saw him set 21 school passing records. He picked up right where he left off during spring drills and will be an All-ACC candidate in the fall.

Running back? Clemson has one of the top tandems in the country in James Davis and C.J. Spiller. Davis missed most of the spring after injuring his shoulder but will be fine by the fall.

Receiver? Aaron Kelly set a school record with 88 receptions in 2007 and is joined by several other prospects.

Defensive line? Senior tackles Dorell Scott and Rashaad Jackson and junior end Ricky Sapp are returning starters.

Clemson safety DeAndre McDaniel has been arrested on charges he covered his girlfriend's head with a comforter and began choking her. A warrant from the Central Police Department says McDaniel was charged with aggravated assault and battery Saturday.
