Vermont finished a disappointing 16-15 despite featuring the top duo in the America East.

Sophomore forward Marqus Blakely, a 6-foot-5 highlight reel who led the America East in scoring and rebounding, and junior guard Mike Trimboli put up big numbers for the Catamounts.

But Vermont committed far too many turnovers to return to the upper echelon of the America East. In the season-ending loss to UMBC, Vermont committed 21 turnovers while forcing just seven.

The good news is that Vermont should return to contention next season.

The Catamounts just need to diversify their attack and make better decisions with the ball.

Final Record:    16-15, 9-7, tied for fourth in the American East
