Things escalated very quickly during a Division III game in Nashua, New Hampshire on Saturday as two members of the Daniel Webster College men’s basketball team were arrested for their part in an on-court brawl. Daniel Webster was playing conference rival Southern Vermont College when Daniel Webster guard Marquise Caudill threw a punch at an opposing player, stomped on him and then incited a brawl with 14:34 left in the second half. A brief YouTube video of the beginnings of the fight was posted by D3Hoops.com Caudill was one of two Daniel Webster players arrested in the fight as the Associated Press reported that it took 25 police officers to restore order after the fight. Bacon, an all-conference candidate who entered averaging nearly 18 points per game, went scoreless for the first time in his two-year college career. Determined to assert himself after halftime, Bacon forced two pull-up jump shots and two quick 3-pointers in the second half’s opening five minutes. Florida State coach Leonard Hamilton pulled Bacon with the Seminoles down 10 less than a minute later and did not reinsert him into the game the rest of the second half.

The former high school standout at Birmingham Detroit Country Day, who achieved college stardom at Michigan and played 15 NBA seasons, was named a finalist Saturday for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. "It was an honor to hear my name," said Webber, who attended the ceremony at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. "There's no guarantee that you'll make it in from this point, but sitting here right now, I'm just really thankful." Former NBA point guard and current Pistons assistant coach Tim Hardaway, former Michigan star Rudy Tomjanovich (Hamtramck) and former
