LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Kansas freshman Josh Jackson has been charged with misdemeanor criminal damage after allegedly vandalizing a woman's car outside a Lawrence bar. Lawrence police responded to a report Dec. 9, and the case against Jackson was filed in Douglas County District Court on Friday. The Kansas City Star reported earlier this month that Jackson and sophomore guard Lagerald Vick were persons of interest in the case. According to the district attorney's office, Jackson allegedly followed the woman to her car after she threw a drink at Jackson's friend in the bar. Jackson allegedly argued with the woman, and her car was damaged in that time. Witnesses told investigators that he kicked
Duke will be without star junior guard Grayson Allen on Saturday. According to a report from Greg Gumbel of CBS Sports, Allen will miss the Blue Devils’ road game at Miami with an ankle injury. The 6-foot-5 Allen is averaging 15.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game this season as he’s battled a few different injuries as well as getting suspended for another tripping incident. Duke is coming off of a road loss to Syracuse earlier this week as the No. 10 Blue Devils are trying to finish out a tough regular-season schedule these next three games.
A request to “turn the music down” escalated quickly in the Maine locker room on Feb. 14. What started as a request, ended up sending a player to the hospital with a broken jaw. A public safety officer from the University of Maine came to the locker room after an ambulance transported senior guard Marko Pirovic to the hospital where he had to have surgery on two bilateral fractures in his jaw.
