NFL star J.J. Watt had been quietly dating professional soccer player Kealia Ohai for about a year before going public with their love in January. The pair, who met through Watt’s Houston Texans teammate Brian Cushing (Cushing is married to Ohai’s older sister Megan), are “very happily dating” while balancing busy training and traveling schedules, a source tells PEOPLE. “We’re both very proud of each other and what we both do,” Watt, 28, told PEOPLE at a pre-Super Bowl event in February.
Former boxing champion Jean Pascal has said that Nick Diaz is "not a real man or a fighter". With many boxing and MMA crossover match-ups being discussed from Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather, to light heavyweight contender Jimi Manuwa challenging David Haye, Pascal is the latest personality to call out a competitor, as he wants to prove that UFC fighters cannot box. Pascal, who held the unified WBC, IBO and lineal light-heavyweight titles between 2009 and 2011, specifically targeted Diaz as the latter has been open to boxing professionally.
Chicago Bears wide receiver Deonte Thompson has testified in the double-murder trial of ex-NFL star Aaron Hernandez. The former New England Patriots tight end played football with Thompson at the University of Florida. Thompson testified Monday about a Florida party he invited Hernandez to in February 2013. Hernandez smiled when Thompson referred to him as “my guy.” Thompson's team, then the Baltimore Ravens, had just won the Super Bowl. Thompson said he remembers Hernandez introducing Alexander Bradley as “my homie” and said they appeared to be good friends. Prosecutors say Hernandez shot Bradley days later because he feared Bradley would tell authorities he saw Hernandez kill two men in Boston
