Another disappointing season at Florida State ended in somewhat appropriate fashion.

Unable to get excited about playing in the NIT, the Seminoles showed their split personality in a homecourt loss to Akron in the first round of this consolation tournament.

"(The game) was not an indication of their character. I just think it was one of those situations where we had one of those nights. I hope this team won't be remembered for how we played (against Akron)," said Seminoles coach Leonard Hamilton.
