A former U.S. Army financial counselor pleaded guilty on Tuesday to defrauding grieving military families out of life insurance payments, in a scheme whose alleged victims included widows and a 13-year-old girl whose father had died. Caz Craffy, 41, of Colts Neck, New Jersey, could face about eight to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to all 10 charges he faced, including wire fraud, securities fraud and making false statements. "Those who target and steal from the families of fallen American servicemembers will be held accountable for their crimes," Attorney General Merrick Garland said in a statement.
