Live chat: Women’s NCAA tourney semifinals

There are some familiar names in this year’s Final Four.

Sure, Baylor fell short, but Connecticut and Stanford are back for a fourth consecutive season, joined by Texas A&M and Notre Dame.

Yahoo! Sports experts will be chatting here live (6:45 p.m. ET) during Sunday’s national semifinal games, as the Huskies, Cardinal, Aggies and Irish battle for spots in the national championship.

UConn, the two-time defending champion, can equal Tennessee for most NCAA women’s basketball titles (eight) with a win this year. The Huskies face conference rival Notre Dame, which bested the Lady Vols in the Elite Eight. The Irish have lost to the Huskies three times this season, twice by single digits.

But first up is Stanford and Texas A&M. The Cardinal are the last team to beat Connecticut – in fact, UConn’s last two losses (the Final Four in 2008 and a regular-season game earlier this season) came at the hands of Stanford.

Stanford has been the championship runner-up in two of the last three years.

The Aggies, meanwhile, upset Baylor to earn their first-ever berth in the Final Four. A&M has suffered five losses this season – three to conference rival Baylor, one to Duke and one to Kansas State.

The chat will feature Yahoo! Sports’ Dana McGraw, who played at Loyola New Orleans and was an assistant coach at Texas A&M-Commerce, Baylor and San Diego State; and Yahoo! Sports editor Jeremy Stone, who has covered the women’s Final Four and WNBA for Yahoo! Sports. He also was a play-by-play announcer for Stanford women’s basketball.
