On the Hoof: Brown's weight has fluctuated but right now he looks like a huge, in-shape inside linebacker. He should remind fans of a slightly larger Jon Bostic from the class of 2009.
Needs Improvement: Needs to keep his weight in check or he will be playing with his hand on the ground. Brown also needs to do a better job of using his hands to keep would-be blockers off his legs. Running through tackles while wrapping up will help him become a better tackler.
Most Impressive: Has the size and girth to handle bouncing between the tackles while sniffing out ball carriers. Brown also has good lateral movement for a big linebacker, allowing him to go sideline to sideline. He unloads on ball carriers.
Conclusion: If he comes into camp in shape then he may see some playing time as a freshman on special teams. But most likely Brown will redshirt while learning the complexities of the college game.
