On the Hoof: Hicks is a long, lean linebacker with excellent overall body structure and muscle tone. Should be able to play at 235 pounds and keep his exceptional downhill pursuit.
Needs Improvement: Has to improve shucking would-be-blockers at the point of attack, improving his ability to make plays in heavy traffic.
Most Impressive: May be the best pass-rushing linebacker in the country. Hicks is incredible at coming of the edge and chasing plays down from behind.
Conclusion: All fast, athletic linebackers get a chance to prove themselves on coverage teams first. He may also see time early on third-and-long plays as an extra rusher from the outside.
