On the Hoof: Very tall, lanky athlete with excellent height and long arms. Fiedorowicz actually looks like a giant receiver. He should remind people of a slimmer Kyle Rudolph of Notre Dame.
Needs improvement: Fiedorowicz needs to work on becoming a well-rounded tight end. Currently, he is more interested in being a receiver, so improving physicality at the point of attack is a must. It will also be interesting to see how he reacts to a massive jump in competition since he currently plays small school ball in Illinois.
Most impressive: Fiedorowicz is a giant target that will be a mismatch for defensive backs and linebackers to cover. He also has very soft hands for a jumbo athlete and is a threat to gain yards after the catch using a long, smooth stride to run by defenders.
Conclusion: There is no doubt that he will have an impact as a freshman. He may not start off as the No. 1 tight end, but he will be worked into specific passing situations right away, especially in the red zone. If Fiedorowicz ends up being able to block on running plays with consistency, he is a sure-fire NFL player.

Wide receivers aren't the only ones who are benefiting from spread offenses. Tight ends, such as ex-OU star Jermaine Gresham, are also taking advantage. Gresham was the first of a record 21 TEs chosen in last month's NFL draft. College coaches have begun using TEs in a variety of ways, and NFL teams are following suit.
