Scouting Report on Broderick Greenby Mike Farrell - 06/19/2006
A big, physical running back, Green has good quickness, excellent vision and rare balance. He stays low, doesn’t leave his feet and bounces off tacklers. He’s quick enough to work outside, but he’ll be most effective as an inside runner. Green can play physical but at the high school level he prefers to outrun opponents rather than run them over. He has very light feet for a big man, soft hands and has the rare ability to be a threat in the passing game despite his size. Green needs to be a little more north-south and utilize his size and power a bit more. He has the potential to be a great downhill runner who will wear out a defense and punish opponents and needs to focus on that because he lacks breakaway speed at the next level. Green hits the hole hard and bounces off many tackles with his big frame. He is rarely taken down by one tackler. Green has the size to be an excellent blocker and uses leverage well when doing so.
