On the Hoof: This very tall and well-defined tight end has the body to excel as a receiver and a blocker. He looks like a huge strongside defensive end, and is similar in build to 2009 Texas signee Alex Okafor.
Needs Improvement: He needs to learn all the nuances of the traditional tight end position. This means staying lower at the point of attack while run blocking. He also needs to use his long arms as weapons, keeping defenders at bay.
Most Impressive: He is a total mismatch because of his size and overall athletic ability. Seferian-Jenkins also has the speed to make yards after the catch and will be a red-zone nightmare for defensive coordinators. He uses his basketball skill set and soft hands to make hard catches look easy.
Conclusion: Should be able to crack the two-deep chart almost anywhere as a true freshman. He is just too big and athletic to leave on the sideline. Playing on Sundays is a distinct possibility if he puts his heart and soul into football.
