South Alabama (2-6, 1-3) tied the game at 21 early in the third quarter, but the Warhawks’ Mitchell Bell ran 32 yards for a touchdown with 2:30 left in the period to lead 28-21. Leonard caught his fourth TD pass on a two-play drive—he grabbed both passes, one for 39 yards and the 24-yard score—early in the fourth to establish a 38-21 lead.
